YSZ zirconia ceramic cylinders are considered for cylindrical wear, positioning and sliding components. Start by identifying whether the part is a solid cylinder, a sleeve with a through bore, or a stepped component. The finished drawing and service conditions determine which material grade and finishing requirements need review.

Solid cylinders and bored sleeves

For a solid cylinder, mark the outside diameter, overall length and working end faces. For a sleeve, add the bore, wall thickness and relationship between inner and outer surfaces. A cylindrical outline does not by itself define a functional fit.

Match the cylinder to the working environment

Describe the liquid, gas or slurry in contact with the part, operating temperature, motion and applied load. If the cylinder contacts a seal, include the seal arrangement and the surface that controls leakage or wear. Identify the required YSZ grade or ask for material information to evaluate a proposed grade.

Prepare a comparable quotation

Send a dimensioned drawing, quantity and required inspection records. Distinguish sample evaluation from repeat purchasing so the same acceptance criteria can be used for both. See zirconia rods for rod-shaped parts, or submit your cylinder requirements.
