A cordierite ceramic heating disc is a shaped ceramic part used within a heater arrangement. This enquiry concerns the support or insulating disc; it does not assume that the ceramic itself is an electrically powered heating element. Show how the separate heating element is positioned on or through the disc.

Build the drawing around the element layout

Mark the disc diameter and thickness, central opening, fixing holes and any slots or grooves. Include the element or wire dimensions, the intended routing and the areas that must remain clear. Identify the supporting faces and any features used to prevent rotation.

Describe heating and cooling conditions

Provide the working temperature profile, start-stop cycle, airflow and nearby metal supports. A peak temperature alone leaves important installation conditions undefined. Explain how the disc is restrained and where the assembly allows movement during heating.

• State the electrical separation required between the element, fasteners and housing.
• Identify local contact points and any concentrated mechanical loads.
• Define checks for hole position, seating flatness and visible damage at the edges.
